Information-Update

Hello Families,

In light of all of the concerns over coronavirus, we are working with WorldStrides to postpone our trip to next June after the school year is over. We know parents have had many questions and Heather and I were waiting till the district made an announcement about the plan to return to school this fall. I do not have the exact dates yet for the trip since we just found out last night about the school plan. As soon as we know the dates for next June, we will send out another email notifying you.  We hope all of you will be able to travel with us and experience this exciting trip.

For the few students who are unable to join on the new travel dates, WorldStrides will honor the Full Refund Program (FRP), if purchased. For those who did not purchase FRP, WorldStrides is making an exception and allowing families to purchase this program by October 1, 2020. If you choose not to opt into this, the Standard Cancellation Policy will apply. Please contact WorldStrides’ Customer Support at 800-468-5899.

If you have already indicated your intention to cancel to WorldStrides in writing, no action is required on your part to begin the refund process. Please note your exact refund amount may vary depending on what you’ve paid in toward your trip cost at this time. You can log-in to your account on MyTrip to view what you paid toward your trip.  If you need additional clarification, you can reach out directly to WorldStrides’ Customer Support at 800-468-5899.

Due to the high volume of refunds being processed, WorldStrides has asked for your understanding on timing. Families can expect to receive refunds 8-10 weeks after your cancellation date.

The team at WorldStrides asked me to share their appreciation for your patience and understanding in these unprecedented times.  I hope this email has answered some of your questions and again, Heather and I appreciate your patience with all of this. Never before have I encountered a situation like this when doing school group travel, so we appreciate your understanding of the situation. Please enjoy the rest of your summer and again as soon as we know the dates for June we will send out an email.  Thank you!

Sincerely,

Sarah Kossow (Kosss@wawmsd.org)
